Eftersom britterna är bland de första med att kunna förhandsbeställa DVD:n är de också först med att få omslaget redo. Jag gissar att vårat svenska omslag inte kommer vara mycket annorlunda. Bilden kommer från brittiska Amazon.

Nu finns det en ny Promo poster ute för Vampire Diaries och samtidigt släpptes det lite Spoilers i anknytning till bilden. Eftersom bilden i sig själv innehåller Spoilers (framförallt för dem som följer avsnitten i svensk takt) postar jag bara en länk till bilden.

Isobel (Mia Kirshner) is coming back to TVD's Mystic Falls in a big way—so big that the CW peeps put together a promo specifically to tease you.

Wendell: What can you tell us about Elena's birth mother on The Vampire Diaries?
Turns out that when you discover your birth mother is the same evil woman who blew up the plane that started Fox's 24—the always badass Mia Kirshner—things probably aren't gonna be all puppies and roses. Mia will return for next Thursday's, April 29, episode of The Vampire Diaries on the CW, and then she'll be front and center in the explosive May 6 ep, conveniently called "Isobel." In the episode, Isobel will shock her ex-husband Alaric (Matt Davis) when she cruises back into town and demands a meeting with the daughter she fought so hard to keep away, Elena. Based on the slogan in the not-yet-released promo above—"Connected to her mother by blood, not love"—and on what sources tell me, it's not gonna be the prettiest of all mother-daughter reunions. But it is gonna be some awesome TV! In fact, I'm hearing the final episodes of TVD's first season will blow you away. Get ready.

Säsongsavslutningen närmar sig i USA och CWTV har postat en kort promo för de tre sista avsnitten innan den stora säsongsavslutningen av The Vampire Diaries. Det finns delar som försvinner förbi så snabbt att man måste pausa för att hinna se vad bilden egentligen föreställde, men det är väldigt mycket intressant för att bara vara 11 sekunder långt. Eller vad säger du?

Det här inlägget är nog mest för dem som följer avsnitten i amerikansk takt och den innehåller Spoilers för dem som inte sett alla avsnitt i USA, även om du eventuellt inte förstår hela Spoilern förrän om något avsnitt. Tänk på det innan du markerar Spoiler-texten eller följer länken till bilden som släppts.

Jag har fått tag på en bild från avsnitt 21 som är ganska avslöjande, dock är nog titeln på avsnittet minst lika avslöjande. Se bilden och läs på egen risk. Då vet ni i alla fall vad som kommer, frågan är väl om ni vill veta det.

De som följer avsnitten i amerikansk takt har säkert märkt att Bonnie har saknats i ett par avsnitt (jag har i alla fall fått en hel del frågor om det). Så jag gissar att många blir glada att höra att hon snart är tillbaka. Tack till Katerina Graham själv som twittrade om det.

Vampire Diaries: In other fangtastic rim-shot scoop, the buzz is that while Melinda Clarke will be making her exit on the April 15 episode, she may be back as Kelly Donovan next season. Which would be awesome. And the reason for her exit involves Caroline making a discovery.

Och anledningen till att hon lämnar Vampire Diaries?

Melinda Clarke's Kelly Donovan will be leaving again next episode. They are hoping to bring her back next season. However, seeing as how she is a series regular in Nikita they may endup recasting the role if Nikita gets picked up and they need Kelly Donovan for more episodes next season.

Reason for her exit? rumor has it Caroline finds Vicki Donovan's body next episode.

Först har vi en artikel hos Variety, som Vampire-Diaries.net tipsade om, där manusförfattaren Julie Plec pratar om den positiva feedback hon får via twitter varje torsdag. Artikeln handlar om hur fans gör skapare av tv-serier till Hollywood stjärnor, det är inte längre bara skådespelare som står i rampljuset. Och i slutet hittar vi delen med Julie.

Plec and her fellow "Vampire Diaries" exec producer Kevin Williamson are besotted with Twitter and its ability to keep them plugged into the show's hardcore fan base. The writing staff of "Diaries" makes a point of watching their Twitter feeds every Thursday evening during the 8 p.m. East Coast airing of the show.

"The whole TV and film industry is built on focus groups and test screenings," Plec says. "In my opinion, watching a Twitter feed during an episode of our show is a built-in focus group. They react to everything -- and it's fascinating because (over time) you get to witness your fan community as it builds and grows."

Plec is a good example of a rising-star showrunner who is making a name for herself in and outside of industry circles much faster than she would without the world of Web fandom. It all starts with the fact that she's on a successful series, but then the Twitterati take it to another level.

"To have a community of people out there who say 'Hey, I can tell Julie Plec wrote that scene' -- it's positive feedback that makes you feel good," she says. "And I know how great it is to have this kind of direct access to someone that you look up to and admire."

On tonight's episode, "Let the Right One In," it's "a very big, epic episode" that sets up the rest of the season, said executive producer and co-creator Julie Plec. "Stefan [Paul Wesley] is in grave, grave danger at the hands of the tomb vampires, and Elena [Nina Dobrey] has to work with Damon and Alaric to rescue Stefan and put her own life on the line in the name of love, knowing that life without Stefan isn't really a life that she wants to live. There is a huge rainstorm that hits the town, and it's just like the whole episode is just like crazy, crazy big."

Question: Are we ever going to see more of Vampire Diaries‘ werewolf, Tyler? He’s been surprisingly absent since that foreboding full moon. —Marz
Ausiello: “I think it is more interesting to keep [his inner werewolf] hidden or suppressed,” says exec producer Kevin Williamson, “and instead play out his aggression and daddy issues and things that are associated with a wolf without making him a wolf.” The werewolf card will eventually be played because “wherever there are vampires, there are usually wolves nearby,” notes Williamson. “My biggest concern is what the weekly special effect is going to look like. That takes careful preparation and a lot of money and some testing. We’re working on it now to figure out what we can do that won’t just look stupid. And they have to still be sexy — because, let’s face it, we cast these beautiful people for a reason.”

Ausiello: Ian Somerhalder predicts that Team Damon will experience a surge in popularity as the season winds down. “I think we are going to find out more about Stefan that might make fans switch teams,” he says. “He isn’t all goodie-two-shoes hero-boy.”

Nope, Noah’s story (like so many on ‘TVD,’ when someone agitates a Salvatore) hit a very dead end. I can clarify this: Noah knew Damon, Stefan and Katherine “back in the day,” but he was not one of the vampires trapped in the tomb. Also, he never claimed to be one of Katherine’s lovers; he only said that Elena reminded him of Katherine. (Dude, it’s the same actress. Duh.)

Are we going to see Katherine on The Vampire Diaries anytime soon?
Those damn tomb vampires are going to keep infiltrating Mystic Falls and with Katherine out of the loop, Kelly Hu's Pearl is in control and is playing hardball with Damon. Either he quits supplying the town's anti-vamp council with vervain and joins her revolution or she won't lead him to the woman he claims to no longer love—which, for the record, we all know he still does.

Som jag berättat tidigare så syntes ett telefonnummer som Elena ringde i Vampire Diaries väldigt tydligt i avsnittet A Few Good Men. Ett nummer som fans kunde ringa för att få en liten teaser. Jag hoppades att det skulle gå att ringa från Skype, vilket det också gjorde.

In the episode, viewers will see Elena (Nina Dobrev) placing a call—with the phone number clearly visible on screen. Fans will be able to call this number (standard long distance fees apply) to hear a special message that will offer a tease of things to come.

We're about to become very familiar with a creepy new vampire, says show runner Julie Plec. "We'll meet Harper, the character coming out of the tomb in the last episode that aired, and follow him on his journey as he sets up shop in Mystic Falls and who he sets up shop with." As for Damon and Stefan, Kevin Williamson says, "They're going to find some common ground and build from there." Unfortunately, their distressed brotherhood won't work itself out overnight. But they've got time, right? They're vampires!

Jackie in Seattle: I love that David Anders just jumps from one of my favorite shows to the next. What do you know about his character on Vampire Diaries?
As always, David Anders brings the bad. "He surfaces when it comes time to sell [Jeremy and Elena's] dad's doctor's office, but he's [really] there because he wants something and he'll fight to the finish to get it," says Kevin. And speaking of Jeremy, tough times are ahead for the brainwashed brother as he continues to unravel the truth about vamps in Mystic Falls. "Jeremy's storyline is a big storyline and takes him to a really dark place," Julie tells me. David's character will also serve as a guide on Jeremy's journey.
